I am pleased to send you a copy of Resolution 1171 that was offered to the senate body by Senator Meyer von Bremen and Senator Hooks on my behalf. This resolution recognizes and commends Wynfield Plantation for being named the 2005 Orvis Endorsed Wingshooting Lodge of the Year.

Wynfield Plantation is traditional southern quail hunting at its very best, and I sincerely appreciate your exemplary leadership and outstanding contributions in making this a first-class hunting experience.

A RESOLUTION

Recognizing and commending Wynfield Plantation on being named the 2005 Orvis Endorsed Wingshooting Lodge of the Year; and for other purposes.

WHEREAS, Wynfield Plantation is Georgia quail hunting at its best; and

WHEREAS, the accommodations at this south Georgia hunting lodge are among the finest in the country; and

WHEREAS, hunters from all over the country travel to Wynfield Plantation to experience one of a kind quail hunting trips, to share with their friends some of the best bobwhite gunning in America, and to hold their corporate meetings, weddings, and family reunions; and

WHEREAS, the quality of service at Wynfield Plantation is extraordinary, representing the highest standards in ethics, heritage, and authenticity of the outdoor experience for which Orvis and its 24 world-wide endorsed wingshooting lodges are known; and

WHEREAS, the Wynfield Plantation is part of the Orvis Endorsed Dog Breeding and Training Program and maintains one of the finest kennels in North America; and

WHEREAS, there is no better place for traditional southern quail hunting than in the sweet Georgia pines and scented sedge grass, using the finest shotguns and the best kennels, and returning after an amazing shoot to the most gracious Wynfield Plantation lodgings.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body recognize and commend Wynfield Plantation on being named the 2005 Orvis Endorsed Wingshooting Lodge of the Year and thank them for providing such a wonderful hunting lodge for citizens in Georgia and throughout this great country to enjoy.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed to transmit appropriate copies of this resolution to Wynfield Plantation.
