Wynfield Plantation, Quail Hunting in the Finest Southern Tradition

Wynfield Plantation Newsletter

April, 2007

At the end of each season, I find myself asking “Where did this quail season go?”  The 2006-2007 quail season was filled with so many memories.  It is truly not possible for me to adequately express my feeling of “Thanks” to each of you that were a part of those memories.  Thank You, to each and every person who came back to Wynfield this season, as you have done each and every year, and Thanks to each and every new guest who now have become a part of the extended “Wynfield Family”.  I hope that myself and this wonderful staff were able to provide you with wonderful “Lifetime” memories, just as you did for us.  It was our pleasure to have you at Wynfield this season.

Wynfield Family

Everyone in our “Wynfield Family” is doing well.  The annual guide fishing trip will begin on April 12 – back to the wonderful Chascahowitzka Island Club Lodge, just outside Homosassa, FL.  I will post pictures (if we are lucky) or stories of   “The One That Got Away”, when we return.  Matt just moved into a new house.  We have decided that we will all make monetary contributions to a moving company if he moves again, or just go on another fishing trip until he is finished.  Just Kiddin.

John & Regan Beamon have announced that they are expecting a “new arrival” on July 22.  We think it is a boy, which we hope will not look or act like John.  Ada is going to have Carpal Tunnel Surgery next week.  “Best Wishes” for a speedy recovery.

A very special member of our extended Wynfield family, Mr. John Baker, has just returned home from a successful “Stint” procedure.  He really scared all of us.  Thank goodness his future daughter in law Lauren gave him 2 aspirin, and then his wife Joann & his son Joseph along with Lauren got him quickly to the hospital.  John has a beautiful female yellow lab, appropriately named “Georgia” that also says she is glad he is home.  Joann is making sure John eats healthy, and we are all looking forward to John and Joey hunting at Wynfield for years to come.  Maybe even with the next generation of the “Baker Family”

Sincerely,
General Manager
